LITTLE THINGS I NOTICED
*This show has a large number of recurring characters: Bobby, Ash, Ava, Andy.
*This show also has an incredibly high body count - Ash, Ava, Andy, the blonde girl, Sam, random people at the roadhouse
*This is where we find out what Azazel was doing in his nursery when he was a baby
THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THIS EPISODE
*Back to the plot! Finally!
*I was glad to see the special children and Azazel again.
*I never guessed that Ava was the evil one until the end.
*This reminds me of a few episodes back when Sam was talking about how maybe the demon doesn't make them evil, but it pushes them far enough that they become bad on their own. I think that's very much what's happened to Ava and to Jake here.
*The end is SOOO HEARTBREAKING, and so well acted by both of them.
THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THIS EP
*They killed Ash and Andy. :( I liked both of them.
*I have a little continuity problem. If Sam is Lucifer's true vessel, why on earth is Azazel going to put him into a position to get killed? Because it's clear in season 5 that Sam isn't just Lucifer's vessel because he happens to be one of the special children, yadda yadda, but because it's a birthright destiny sort of deal. So Sam was already Lucifer's true vessel at this point, and I can't imagine he'd be happy with Azazel's little "Survivor" contest.
