Supernatural Season 4 Rewatch - 4:14 'Sex and Violence'
WRITTEN BY: Cathryn Humphris
DIRECTED BY: Charles Beeson
ORIGINAL AIRDATE: February 5, 2009
SUMMARY: "Men are killing their loved ones while under the influence of a siren."
MY THOUGHTS
*It's Hoyt (Jim Parrack)!
*This is one of the few times Sam actually gets the girl. And the first time he's had a girl since Jessica who didn't turn out to be a monster.
*It's super cute that what Dean wants more than anything isn't "a girl in a G-string", but just for his brother to look up to him again.
*LOL, I do have to say that I think it was somewhat funny that Genevieve Cortese was billed for this one when she has like ten words over the phone. Yes, yes, I know they have to, but still amusing to me.
*This is when we first see Bobby's phones. Thank God for Bobby.
THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THIS EP
*Jim Parrack. I really like him. He's one of the few things I still like about True Blood, and I loved him in this too. Very good choice for the part, too. He looks so trustworthy!
*Sirens! I love sirens. Loved them when I read Homer, love them now. And I love the modern take on them being in strip clubs. Makes perfect sense.
*I loved the whole "Dean needs his little brother more than girls" theme. I can't help but be reminded of "My Bloody Valentine" - Dean doesn't need sex. He doesn't crave anything, because the things that he really needs are things that can't really be physically grasped - love, acceptance, Sam still looking up to him, trusting him...Very cute.
*Yay for Bobby telling them if they're driving they should be drinking soda.
THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THIS EP
*I hate seeing Sam and Dean fight with each other. They need to hug and make up. Big time.

I love how the strippers are named after Disney princesses.
LISTEN TO YOUR BOBBY! DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!
Waaaaah I miss their bond :( I hope the second half of s6 finds them getting along better.
