RANDOM THOUGHTS

*The whole 'Sam is the Antichrist' thing is both interesting and confusing. First, as we who have seen Season 5 know, Sam isn't the Antichrist, technically. He's Lucifer's vessel. Sure, this is bad, but it's not the same thing. Also, where is Gordon getting his intel?

*This is the episode in which both Gordon and Kubrick die

*Sam is pretty cold in this ep. He understands completely why they have to kill the girl vampire at the beginning, and the way he kills Gordon at the end...just wow.

THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THIS EP

*This ep has some of my favorite season 3 moments. First, the scene in the hotel room where Sam calls Dean out on trying to joke his fear away, and tells him how very much he wants him to just be his brother again, and tells him he spent all his childhood looking up to him and wanting to be like him. Awww.

*Also, the scene at the end where Dean teaches Sam to fix the Impala, since he won't be there to do it. Sooo cute and sad.

*It's also ironically fitting that Gordon dies as a vampire.

THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THIS EP

*Bela. I think I've discovered why I don't like her. It's because they drag the boys OOC for her, and it makes them look stupid. I don't like that. She's also more soul-less than Sam in Season 6. I mean, jeez, she just sells them out for nothing, and then acts like it's some big fun joke. God, I hate her.

*It was really dark and hard to screencap, lol.

YEP! That's pretty much why I don't like Bela, too. xD It felt like the creators were trying too hard to cast Bela as the brothers' EPIC FOIL--which just translated to making them act OOC and dumbed down. :\

And I also didn't like how absolutely soulless and unsympathetic she was. Most SPN characters, even the villains, can be sympathized with in some way--even Lucifer. But she just...lacked humanity and it doesn't explain why. Is she just a sociopath or something? O_o

Well, in hindsight her Deal was coming up due, which might explain some of it...

I don't know, I liked her initially, but then I watched episodes from s3 before the rest of the show, so I didn't know how many dynamics she was screwing up and how OOC she made the guys...I still like her better than Katie Cassidy, though.

Girl at the beginning? The other vampire played by a "Buffy" actress. I think she was the most frequent guest star on the series, actually (though that might just be if they include her tenure on "Angel"). And she was the bitchy little girl in the Addams Family movies ("Is it made from real lemons?").

I seriously seriously need to watch this again. I don't think I've watched it since it aired (aside from the ending scene).
