LITTLE THINGS I NOTICED

*Red-eyed crossroad demon, yellow-eyed Azazel

*When John disappeared in a haze of light, did he go to heaven?

*Azazel seems quite glad (and unsurprised) to see Sam. Did he know this would happen all along?

THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THIS EP

*OMG, Dean's grief. Soooo heartbreaking. It's so obvious here how much he loves and needs Sam.

*We really see how little Dean thinks of himself here, how strong his self-esteem issues really are. And we get the first peek of his idea that by dying, he's 'setting things to rights.'

*Seeing John again in the cemetery, sooo moving.

*The scene with Sam and Dean at the Impala at the end, when Sam finds out what happened, really made me cry. <3

THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THIS EP

*Azazel makes a point that maybe what Dean brought back wasn't all Sam. Interesting concept, but it's never explored in depth, unfortunately. I'm a little disappointed it wasn't. Dropped plot line, I guess.

For a long time I thought John went to Heaven. Now I'm not so sure. I think Hell dragged him back cause they were still trying to get him to break the first seal? Not sure when they gave up on him. I think it was before Dean arrived, but I don't remember...I don't think the show has told us where John is.

That last scene always gets me. Those two are great actors.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that plotline was totally dropped. Or Azazel was just fucking with him.
