PLAYTHINGS
SUMMARY
"Remember your imaginary childhood friend? Bet your buddy wasn't anything like an angelic little girl's invisible playmate: a hoodoo demon with an unearthly aptitude for murder."
ORIGINAL AIRDATE
January 18, 2007
LITTLE THINGS I NOTICED:
*Sam is still wearing his cast.
*This is one of those amusing times when Sam and Dean get mistaken for a gay couple.
*This is the episode with the 'Drunk Sam' scene. Love it.
THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THIS EP
*The Drunk!Sam scene. Funny, yes, but also really sad, because Sam's feeling all that guilt about not being able to save the guy, and also his feeling that if he can save enough people, maybe he can save himself. And he makes Dean promise to kill him if he goes bad. :(
*I LOL'ed when Dean started talking about Sam's doll collection and Sam had to agree with it, lol.
THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THIS EP
*I thought it dragged a little. Seemed to take them a really long time to figure out what was going on with the HooDoo and everything.
*Why was the little girl's spirit so mean? Nobody had hurt her in life, she drowned. I get that she was lonely, but why so malicious?
RATING:
M.O.T.W: B+

Some Screencaps, because I felt like it:

Sam peering out the window as they're taking the guy who got killed away in the ambulance.

Drunk Sam.

Drunk Sam talking to Dean.
Yeah, I'm a Sam girl, deal with it. But I also wasn't even sure if these would work, so I just took some shots to test. :) The next ep will have better ones.
NIGHTSHIFTER
SUMMARY
"Sam, Dean, a shape-shifter and hostages are locked in a bank, surrounded by a SWAT team. It all begins when the brothers, on the trail of a shifter, run into a portly paranoiac who's seen T2 once too often."
ORIGINAL AIRDATE
January 25, 2007
LITTLE THINGS I NOTICED
*The creature on the front of that magazine sure as heck looks like a Cyberman from Dr. Who.
*Sam's cast is gone! RIP, Cast. 2:05 - 2:11.
*This is where we first meet Agent Hendrickson.
THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THIS EP
*Shifters are a really good baddie. You never know who they are and they can change around, which really helps with the tension.
*Ronald is a fun character.
*I liked that things totally didn't go to Sam and Dean's plan, and that the cops totally didn't understand what was going on...
THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THIS EP
*Why did Ronald have to die? Was that necessary? :(

SCREENCAPS!
(I am actually quite pleased at how my computer does screencaps! I'd never really done them before but it's quite fun, actually. They're probably not good enough for anyone to use, but feel free to snag if you want them, just credit me.))
