FAITH
Summary
"Witness the miracle: Faith healer Roy Le Grange cures Dean after an accident leaves him near death. Witness the terror: For every life Le Grange saves, another life must end."

Original Airdate

Little Things I Noticed
* The use of the Coptic Cross as a way to control Reapers. This was a symbol adopted by early Gnostic Christians...

* This is the first episode where one of the brothers has a 'near death' experience.

* The first thing Dean worries about in the hospital is who is going to take care of his car.

* Sam calls John for help, but there's no response. Again, he leaves the boys on their own and abandons them in their hour of need.

* When Sam and Dean are looking through the information on Reapers, Dean holds a paper on "Famine" (I assume from the paper it's in reference to the Horseman). Why? And I'm guessing THE Reaper that they talk about is Death?

* This is the first episode where we see that Sam has some type of religious faith, some sort of belief in good. This is reinforced in "Houses of the Holy", and in his fan-girl like interest in Castiel when he first meets him.

Things I Liked About this Episode

* Reapers. I love the Reapers. I love them from the very beginning. I don't list them as one of my favorite monsters, because I don't think that they ARE monsters. They're neither good nor evil, they're just inevitable. I like Tessa a lot better than this guy, but I love the Reapers. I love it when they show up in SPN.

* Sam really believed at first that Dean's healing was a miracle. Again, a time when Sam gets built up and is disappointed by what eventually occurs. Poor Sam.

* Lila's line (and I paraphrase because I don't remember it exactly) about how you have to have faith not just when the miracles happen, but when they don't. Reminds me of Season 4/5.

Things I Didn't Like About this Episode

* Why does the reaper look so strange? All the other reapers we see just look like normal people.

ROUTE 666

Summary
"The devil's down in Dixie - and he's driving one scary truck. Sam and Dean investigate when something wheeled, metallic and evil forces a series of African-American drivers off the road to their deaths."

Little Things I Noticed

* The text at the beginning clearly says that this takes place in Missouri, but the license plate on the cars clearly says Mississippi.

* This is the first time we hear of Dean having any sort of relationship, and it seems like it's the first time Sam has too.

* This is also the first time one of the Winchester boys has a 'love scene.'

* Sam says he didn't tell Jessica about what they did for a 'year and a half' so we can guess that's about the time they were together.

* Apparently evil spirits can be destroyed by crossing over onto hallowed ground. Question about this in reference to both "Hook Man" and "Houses of the Holy," although Sam did say "sometimes," inferring that it doesn't ALWAYS destroy them. So maybe that's the catch.

* Random, but they're in Kentucky at the beginning. :)

Things I Liked About this Episode

* Getting to see Dean's softer side. He apparently does have one, and a heart, no matter how hard he tries to hide them.

* Sam's constant teasing of Dean about it. Such a little brother thing to do.

* How uncomfortable Dean is with the teasing. This girl must have really meant something to him.

* Sam's line at the end..."huh, that thought never occurred to me..." (or whatever). So funny. And how Dean hangs up on him. I would too!

Things I Didn't Like about this Episode

* The idea of a killer racist truck IS a little silly, although they pull it off pretty well.

* Why can't Dean and Cassie be happy? Why does she dump him AGAIN when she actually cares for him? Why doesn't Dean ever get in touch with her again? I liked her.
