RANDOM THOUGHTS

*I really like how they humanize the bad guys. These aren't just evil baddies, they're people who have been driven to this for whatever reason. There's very little black and white in this show because of that. I like that.

EPISODE 5 - WHO'S GEORGE?

*This one was really heartbreaking. A guy laid off from work loses his insurance and the nursing home is going to kick out his wife (who has alzheimers) if he can't come up with the money to pay. So he tries to rob a bank. Totally understandable crime. And really poignant in today's economy. Sad that the guy had to die, but at least his wife was okay at the end - his insurance took care of it since he was killed by a "third party"

EPISODE 6 - ATTENTION SHOPPERS

*A teenage girl turns in the (gang-member) guy who tried to rape her and is attacked and brutally beaten by his girlfriend and her punk friends. Gunfight in a mall ensues, and Jules has to talk the girl down from jumping. I really liked this episode and was glad that it looked like the poor girl wasn't going to get in trouble for what she did. After all, it was self-defense.

EPISODE 7 - HE KNOWS HIS BROTHER

*Probably my least favorite one of the disc, although it was still good. An upper-class family with two sons and an abusive father. Older brother on the run after shooting dad. Younger brother helps the cops find him for his own good. Loved the brother dynamic in this one. That kind of thing really gets me.

EPISODE 8 - NEVER KISSED A GIRL

*A guy who spent eleven years in prison for a crime he didn't commit holds up a courthouse in order to talk to the prosecutor who framed him for murder. Really sad, too. The guy was totally innocent. At least he doesn't get killed, and I'm guessing the prosecutor gets in trouble. At least I hope so. The guy was free at the end, so that's good. :)

EPISODE 9 - Planets Aligned

*So sad, kidnapping victim with Stockholm syndrome holds the cops at gunpoint as they try to rescue her and another girl he just kidnapped. This one had me crying so hard...happy ending, though. :)
