Little Things I Noticed
*Sam is watching porn!
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
*This is the episode where Sam 'injures' his wrist, to cover for Jared Padalecki's RL wrist injury. IC, it's from the zombie girl tackling him, IRL, it was from a stunt during filming.
*I think this may be the first ep where we see Dean cry.
Things I Liked About this Ep
*Dean's guilt and issues with his father's death. The whole thing with him feeling that he didn't deserve to be brought back, that he took his dad away from Sam, that 'what's dead should stay dead' includes him. This episode helps to bring home how very important family is to Dean, and how sensitive he really is. Dean isn't stoic - he just hides his feelings from Sam, I think because he doesn't want to burden other people with his problems, and it's not like John really would have listened. It's a defense mechanism, like a lot of Dean's attitude.
*The 'Pet Sematary' aspect of this episode. Girl comes back from the grave evil, yadda yadda. Scariest book I've ever read, I think.
*The whole theme of how crazy people can be when they lose someone. Neil was so desperate that he was willing to bring her back from the grave...
*I also like how this episode explores a bit how differently people cope with loss, Sam and Dean, of course, but also Neil and Angela's father.
*I don't know why, but Sam's looking particularly gorgeous in this ep.
Things I Didn't Like About this Ep
*This was a REALLY sad ep. Really emotional. Didn't have many uppers. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but just sayin'.
*The Zombie girl's make-up was too thick, I kept concentrating on it instead of her words. I understand why they had to do it, but it was still a bit annoying.
*Why did the Zombie girl suddenly love Neil? Was that part of the spell? 'Cause it didn't make sense.

Little Things I Noticed
*When Dean had to tell the truth, he did admit that he was a little scared of what was going on with Sam. That's the first time he said that, even though he tried to backpedal and get out of it.
*Dean let him take the Impala! OMG, this guy is good to get that out of Dean.
*This is where we meet Andy.
*Question...Sam at full power would be able to do all of these things, right?
Things I Liked About this Ep
*I like all the eps that have to do with Azazel's kids. Interesting build-up, love the way they give it to you a little at a time.
*I like how the show proves Sam's fears that whatever is inside of him is going to make him into a killer, and his fear of what he's becoming.
*I liked how Ellen called them all there at the end, and isn't going to let them deal with this alone.
Things I Didn't Like About this Ep
*The twin thing seemed a little cliched, although I loved the line "OMG, I have an evil twin."
*I don't think they gave the twin character enough time. He was the baddie, and we don't see him until the last 5 minutes.

LITTLE THINGS I NOTICED
*This is the second episode Sam has his arm in a cast.
*This is the episode where we learn of the relationship between John Winchester and William Harville.
THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THIS EP
*I like Jo. It's too bad that she couldn't have been a love interest for Dean, I like the theoretical setup of Dean seeing a feisty female hunter. Too bad they have no chemistry whatsoever. I mean, they work well as a big brother/little sister sort of thing, but anything romantic is totally lacking in chemistry.
*I like that Dean states that he thinks women can be good hunters, and it's the fact she's an amateur that bothers him.
*I like Dean's recollections of his dad when he's talking with Jo. They do have a bond there, missing their dads so much.
THINGS I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THIS EP
*Ellen and Jo blaming Sam and Dean for what their dad did. They didn't even know. That whole 'sins of the father' thing annoys me.
*Not nearly enough Sam in this ep for my taste!
*The MOTW seems to be a bit underdone in order to play up the relational and meta-plot issues. Somewhat like "Everybody Loves a Clown" but not quite as bad.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS
SUMMARY
"Baltimore cops arrest the obvious suspect in the grisly murders of a lawyer and his wife: Dean, caught with blood on his hands and a history of being on the spot when people die violently."

Little Things I Noticed
*The 'does she look familiar' and 'pea soup' comments at the end are of course in reference to the fact that Linda Blair (the detective) played the little girl in Exorcist.
*Sam is still wearing his cast.
Things I Liked About this Episode
*I liked the way they set up the story, the way they explained it to us through Sam's flashbacks.
*I liked the way the brothers worked exactly the same way, even though they weren't in contact. Real bond there. They even both called the PD 'Matlock'
*I liked the ghost. Jeez, she was spooky. Creeped me out. And I also like how the ghost wasn't the bad guy.
*Sam's looking sexy as hell.
*This is the first time we see people think Dean is crazy for telling the truth. Not as good as 'Sam, Interrupted', but still funny.
Things I Didn't Like About this Episode
*When Sam and Dean were both unarmed at the end, I didn't find it very realistic that the bad cop wouldn't have shot one of them.
*The 'bad cop' thing is kind of overdone, although it worked pretty well here.
*Why do Ghosts speak in Anagrams? Although I kind of thought that was cool, even though it didn't really make any sense.
*I wish it had explained why Sam didn't salt and burn her bones. Did he want to see where she'd be seen next? What?
